The GRRP course provides a framework for imparting best research regulatory practices to the research regulators, investigators and research teams by creating awareness and application of legal frameworks, human rights, professional codes of conduct and ethical guidelines relevant to conducting research. GCRRP equips trainees with knowledge to become efficient, reasonable and responsible research regulators by enhancing their capacity to identify, investigate and manage research-related offences, misconduct, and misbehavior as well as provide support to research teams to nurture research integrity. The GRPP course also will equip investigators and research teams will knowledge and application of laws and human rights to research.

This course is made up of twenty topics covering the three thematic areas of ethics of research, legal and human rights in research and research- related offences, misconduct and misbehavior. Good Research Regulatory Practice. The course is designed to build on the existing knowledge and skills of the trainees and to allow them to relate to their day-to-day experiences at their workplace.

Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to equip researchers and research regulators with knowledge and skills to instil discipline and integrity in the research through the provision of supportive oversight as opposed to retributive oversight.
